B & B on the Rock: Music

This is My Bread

(B & B on the Rock)
Luke 22: 19; Matthew 26: 26

One day while baking bread, I started to wonder about the woman who made the bread for the Last Supper. Her simple, everyday act became a miracle in Christ's hands. With Christ Consciousness, anything can become a miracle, a blessing.
I am the vessel, You are the stone
I am the chaff of the wheat that is sown
You are the grain yet mine is the bread
my hands made the loaf you broke when you said

This is my Body
This is my blood
You slake my thirst
with an unceasing flood

A supper of friends, You seemed to say goodbye
the wine and the bread were passed around and I
hid til you said You are one of us
and I give myself to all of you

For your bread is my body
I give it back to you
you hunger for truth
so I give you life anew

I ground the grain I shaped the dough
everyday work yet somehow I know
my simple bread in your blessed hands
is a miracle at your command

This is my body
This is my blood
You slake my thirst
with an unceasing flood

Work of my hands and fruit of the vine
Flows forth like a river
blessing all time

This is my body
This is my blood
You slake my thirst
with an unceasing flood

This is my body
This is my blood
You slake my thirst
with an unceasing flood.
